Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy has suddenly sprung into limelight after many reports surfaced in media hinted that he would likely join the Congress Party very soon. The TDP senior, who's leading the party in Telangana was also questioned on the same matter, by other party members during the recent party meet.
After several rumors and speculations, the Kodangal MLA today spoke to the media and quashed all the rumors on him. "I condemn all the media reports on me as they're creating huge confusion among party supporters," he said by adding that further clarification will be offered as soon as party chief Chandrababu Naidu comes back from his US tour. Revanth further said, "I will continue to fight against Chief Minister KCR and I"ll contest from Kodangal itself in the coming 2019 polls."
As Revanth had a meeting with Rahul Gandhi, his fellow party members fired on him as he did not inform about it the party chief. The recent note-for-vote scam has projected Revanth as a strong contender against CM KCR, validating his growth in a weakening party. This, however, was not his first attempt to leave TDP but in the past, he planned to float his own political party in Telangana.
The reports of Revanth jumping into Congress seemed like a good boost for the national party, but the latest revelation by him is big blow for veteran party.
