Flight Crashes, 71 People Dead

A Russian passenger plane carrying 71 people crashed outside Moscow. It was enroute to the city of Orsk near the border with Kazakhstan.

Reports said that the Saratov Airlines jet vanished minutes after take-off from Moscow. It was crashed near the village of Argunovo, about 80km (50 miles) south-east of Moscow.

Officials said all those on board are thought to have died. Pictures from the site showed the pieces of wreckage in a snow-covered field.  Bodies were seen scattered at the site.
