The former national president of BJP, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources and close-aide of RSS Nitin Gadkari has praised Chandrababu Naidu. This has shocked many given that Chandrababu had walked out of NDA and even moved No-Confidence Motion against Modi-led NDA.
However, Gadkari has no qualms in praising Chandrababu and stated that politics is different from development and asked media to not mix both. Gadkari heaped praises on Naidu for his vision and development activities. While laying foundation stone for National Highway projects worth Rs 6688 Crore in and around Visakhapatnam, Gadkari praised the functioning of AP state government.
"AP is always very special to us. We are totally committed for the development of the new state. Polavaram is a National treasury. We asked to complete all the civil works by the end of February. We also chalked out a plan to utilize the 3000 TMCs of Godavari water that is wasted by passing into the sea," said Nitin Gadkari.
Gadkari assured that 70 percent of problems of AP are under his purview and under his departments. He assured of resolving all the issues pertaining to AP soon. Gadkari stated that PM Narendra Modi is determined to develop Andhra Pradesh state.
TDP Vs BJP Slogans Create Tension
The TDP and BJP party workers created some ruckus in while Chandrababu Naidu and Gadkari were sharing the dais. The party workers of both the parties have made slogans against each other. That's when Nitin Gadkari intervened and asked BJP party workers to calm down as it is not a political event but clarified that it is an official event of government. Gadkari told party workers that Chandrababu Naidu has come upon his request and hence asked party workers to maintain restraint.
Meanwhile, Gadkari has also responded to the slogans of TDP party workers who demanded for the Railway Zone to Visakhapatnam. Responding to it, Gadkari said he is aware of the problem and assured them that he would take up the issue to the concerned officials of the related department.
