Polavaram National Irrigation Project is one of the most prestigious projects and has national significance. As per the official stastics of the AP state government, so far one lak two thousand people across Andhra Pradesh have visited the Polavaram site. In fact, people outside the state have also visited the place. Union Irrigation Minister Gadkari too visited the ongoing works and have praised Chandrababu Naidu and his government for the dedication, commitment on the completion of the project.
However, one key person from AP has not visited the place so far. It's none other than Opposition leader YS Jagan. AP Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma has announced the statistics and targeted Jagan for not even making it to Polavaram. He criticized Jagan saying that the Opposition leader doesn't have time to pay a single visit to Polavaram project.
Uma has also attacked Jagan over his promise of bringing 'Rajanna Rajyam' in the state. Uma has pointed out at the IAS officers and ministers who went to jail.
Stating that TDP government is committed towards the progress of farmers and hence working hard on irrigation projects, Devineni Uma alleged YCP leaders of filing 'false' cases in courts and trying to create obstacles for the Polavaram. Devineni Uma accused YSRCP leaders of resorting to divisive and destructive politics.
