An election year can show the most unexpected twists and make the impossible alliances possible. While the Jagan's party is doing their best to criticize TDP and is allegedly going towards forming an alliance with BJP for coming general elections, here is a crucial leader from YSRC leader ready to join the TDP.
YSRC leader Chalamalasetty Sunil met the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday evening. Sunil is YSRC incharge for Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency. He reportedly expressed his wish to join the TDP.
Sunil has been staying away from party activities since many months and is said to have been miffed with Jagan's close relative's attitude and working style in Kakinada. Sunil contested as an MP from Kakinada on Praja Rajyam Party ticket in 2009 and then moved on to contest on YSRC ticket in 2014, where he lost with a close margin.
Sunil faced allegations about his Indian citizenship as he was a British citizen earlier. Sunil is heard to have been convinced by his close associate and industrialist Gopi to join TDP. He is expected to join the Telugu Desam party in presence of Chandrababu Naidu, in second week of October.
Sunil's efforts and money are behind the YSRC's foothold in Kakinada constituency and now his exit is sure to become a big blow to Jagan's party.
