In a major showdown on January 19th 2019, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has invited AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to address the anti-BJP meeting in Kolkata.
Ms. Banerjee has written a letter to AP Chief Minister, inviting him to show his support and unite with other parties to counter BJP at the national level. Stating that the country's institutions are in grave danger under the BJP government, she said there is a dire need for political parties to unite against BJP. It will be an ultimate show of strength of all the anti-BJP parties, she added.
It is said that TDP has been fuming after the recent IT raids on its ministers and MLAs. TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu spoke to Ms. Banerjee about it, along with leaders from the Congress and Samajwadi Party too.
While the Federal Front seems to be an unstable one, we are yet to watch whether regional leaders can take on Modi and defeat the BJP.
