Congress senior leader and former MP Madhu Yashki's car was attacked by miscreants. The former Nizamabad MP was on the way to Nizamabad to cast his vote tomorrow. However, his convoy was attacked in Metpally of Jagtial.
Madhu Yashki's Ford Endeavour in which he was traveling and another Toyota Innova in his convoy were attacked. The rear windshield of Yashki's Ford Endeavour and the front windshield of the Innova were broken by angry mob. The glasses of the windshields were shattered.
According to media reports, a section of Congress party workers and leaders have attacked Yashki's car over denying ticket to their leader. The followers of Congress ticket aspirant Komireddy Ramulu have allegedly stopped Yashki's convoy and entered into an argument. Ramulu's aides alleged that Yashki and others in Congress have sold out the party tickets.
Meanwhile, learning about the fight, TRS party workers too reached the spot. TRS leaders tried to corner Yashki that he is going in car with money bags to distribute money to voters in Nizamabad. As the situation is going out of control, Madhu Yashki has fled the spot on bike. Cops have reached the spot and disbursed the mob. Police are probing the issue further.
Condemning the attack on Madhu Yashki's car, PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said, "Severely condemn the anti-social elements who've attacked former MP Madhu Yaskhi's convoy. This motivated attack requires a thorough investigation by the authorities & perpetrators should be brought to book. Such attacks have no place in a democratic country."
