I Did Wild Dog As I Loved Vijay Varma Role: Nag

Pre-release event of Nagarjuna’s upcoming film Wild Dog called Wild Dog Base Camp event is held today in Hyderabad. Interestingly, the Wild Dog team led by Nagarjuna did a perform skit on show and then they disclosed how the NIA functions in a video.

Fortunately for all the actors worked for the film, they were given enough time to introduce themselves and their story behind cinema dreams. In fact, most of the actors worked for the film were very new to the industry.

Niranjan Reddy said, “I wish to make different films and stories which excite me. I at first thought Wild Dog is a difficult to make in Telugu. It even gave me an impression that it would be an experimental film. But, after Nagarjuna accepted to do the film, it became a commercial film. Solomon made this as an engaging one.”

Director Ashishor Solom said, “The story idea of Wild Dog came from a news article. From 2007 to 2013 including Gokul Chat, Lumbini Park and Dilsukh Nagar, 17 bomb blasts happened in India and hundreds have died in these incidents. The Central govt handed over this case to NIA. A group of 5 officers risked their lives and did this deadly undercover operation. Nagarjuna sir liked the story, so the journey began.”

Nagarjuna said, “I did Wild Dog as I loved ACP Vijay Varma character. He’s a good human being, caring family man, team leader and more importantly he goes to any extent if he loves something. He loves India, so he is ready to do anything for the country. I like to be fearless like him.

I was very impressed with Solomon’s story. It’s indeed one of the strongest characters in my career. Niranjan Reddy produced wide variety of films. We did Oopiri and Gaganam together.

What the covid and lockdown taught me was work is so important and valuable. A small virus stopped the entire world- So, don’t think too much about yourselves. Just love your work and you will be successful. This film is the biggest gift Niranjan gave to me. Thaman’s BGM lifted the film up. We made the film with so much love.”

The team has felicitated few people who won National Awards recently.
