TV9 Goes National, Launches Hindi Channel

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched TV9's Hindi channel. Its Hindi channel has been named as TV9 Bharatvarsh. At the inauguration of TV9 Bharatvarsh on 30th March, 2019, Modi has addressed and congratulated the channel for its huge success and venturing into Hindi. TV9's Ravi Prakash was also seen. TV9 Bharatvarsh is a free-to-air news channel has launched on 30 March, 2019. Along with Modi, several top politicians have also graced the launch and wished the new channel.

Former India TV editor Hemant Sharma, ex Managing Editor of INdia TV Ajit Anjum and Vindo Kapri have joined the editorial team of TV9 Bharatvarsh. The team said the channel will bring back issues that really matter to people and use the television medium keeping core values of humanity and people's interests to the fore. It further said that unlike other Hindi News channels, TV9 Bharatvarsh does not promote superstitions like Astrology, stated the company.

TV9 was originally started as a Telugu news channel in 2004 and it has become a big success. It is synonymous for its sensationalism and brought a change in Telugu news media. In short time, the channel has expanded its base and made its mark in other regional news channels like Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi.

TV9 Kannada, TV9 Gujarati, TV9 Marathi, Jai Telangana TV, News9 are its sister channels. Joining the legion is TV9 Bharatvarsh. With this, TV9 has gone national and entered Hindi heartland.
