Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the exit polls had failed to gauge the people's pulse. He also exuded confidence that the non-BJP parties would secure more seats at the Centre.

"Time and again exit polls have failed to catch the People's pulse. Exit polls have proved to be incorrect and far from ground reality in many instances. While undoubtedly TDP govt will be formed in AP, we are confident that non-BJP parties will form a non-BJP govt at the center," he tweeted

He also said that the Opposition parties would not go back on their demand of 50 per cent verification of electronic voting machines (EVMs) with the Voter-verified Printable Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips. "If there is any difference during the verification process, all the VVPATs should be counted," he demanded.
