In a rude shock to both Telangana Chief Minister and TRS chief K.Chandrasekhar Rao and AP Chief Minister and TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, both the parties have not got the expected results in both the Telugu states.
In Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam is facing a bad situation with just around 25 seats while YSRCP is in the lead in around 150 seats. Meanwhile, in Telangana, TRS is leading in 9 seats while it may lose crucial seats within Hyderabad as Secunderabad is seen in BJP's (Kishan Reddy) favour while Malkajgiri held by Congress firebrand leader Revanth Reddy is also seen working in favour of the grand old party. The BJP is expected to win around 4 seats while Congress in 3 seats.
These results have also indicated how both may face a tough time as results have not turned out as they predicted. On the bright side, TRS is still in government in Telangana so it has an advantage. It looks like TDP will have to be in the Opposition this time in AP, while it may not have much say due to bad numbers!
