With BJP getting a mandate of over 300 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, the man of the moment and BJP Chief, Amit Shah, took a dig at Chandrababu Naidu, the Congress and West Bengal CM Mamatha Banerjee.
Terming the BJP's win historic win after independence as it crossed the 2014 number too, Amit Shah said: '17 states and Union Territories in the country have given zero to Congress,' he said. These election results have marked an end too dynastic politics, especially in UP, adding that it is a lesson to every political family that believes in practising such nepotism.
With that statement, he also targeted Congress President Rahul Gandhi and said that BJP has also cleared its way in Amethi with Smriti Irani winning the seat in the Gandhi family's stronghold. 'Some people did not like the exit polls, which came out two days ago... everyone met everyone. They thought these exit polls are wrong and we can brainwash the people,' he said, taking a dig at the Mahaghatbandhan leaders.
'Today, the BJP has won. I would say to all these dynastic parties - and especially to Chandrababu Naidu -- that had you have worked so hard for the polls, you should have been able to open your account,' Amit Shah said. The BJP and its allies have been poking fun at Chandrababu over carrying out meetings across the countries despite exit polls indicating a landslide victory for the NDA.
Amit Shah also threw a jibe at Mamatha, stating 'In Bengal, despite such violence, BJP won 18 seats... the BJP has also won four assembly seats. This shows BJP will spread its waves in Bengal in the coming years.' He added that Modi's love for the country had removed dynastic politics from the country!
