After a 10-year-long political battle, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has scored a historic victory in 2019 general elections and fulfilled his dream of becoming Chief Minister of AP. Now that Jagan is slowly settling down as the CM and trying to get hold of administration, focus shifts onto the one big shocker that shook his own family and Kadapa politics just before the Assembly elections took place. The incident that shook AP politics was YS Vivekananda Reddy's brutal murder in March 2019.
The cold-blooded murder of Jagan's own Babayi at the latter's own residence when he was sleeping alone has raised a lot of eyebrows. While Jagan's political opponents alleged that "family feud" was the cause of the murder, YCP & Jagan alleged then ruling government behind the murder. Even YS Viveka's daughter Sunitha and wife Soubhagyamma had expressed their concerns over the inquiry of her father's murder and asked a non-partisan probe by the CBI. In fact, Viveka's family had moved the High Court as well seeking CBI probe on his murder.
Now that elections are over and Jagan Reddy is in power, the moot question is whether a transparent and fair probe would be conducted into YS Viveka's murder and the real culprits would be brought to books or not. Will a fair probe be possible? Will the real culprits behind Viveka's murder would be jailed? Let's wait and see.
