So this seems to be closed doors for Telangana CM KCR who is adamant in demolishing the Erramanzil palace to construct new Assembly and Secretariat in its place as the successors of Nizam have filed a petition in Telangana High court.
This is the seventh petition filed against the demolition drive initiated by CM KCR. Nizam heirs claimed that the government did not reimburse any sort of amount since 1951 after handing over heritage buildings. The Erramanzil palace is spread across 17 acres and Nizam heirs own 12 acres. But a court case is pending since ages on these 12 acres. Getting to know that the government is demolishing the palace, they knocked the High Court doors.
All the petitioners in their petition wanted a proper answer from the Telangana government so why it wants to demolish the old structures which can serve another three decades.
This petition by Nizam 'Varasulu' further complicates KCR's plan and we have to see how the government will respond.
