Inspired by YS Jagan: Hero demands jobs for locals

AP CM YS Jagan has laid a condition before companies that are coming to the state for investments. He asked companies to prefer the locals first for the employment and later of their choice. Though this is a wise and agreeable statement from the CM which also brings a positive impression on his government, the companies are uninterested by Jagan's idea.

Even the AP youth are not convinced with this as they themselves are moving to different cities in the country for studies, employment and business purposes. As this is just the initial stages of Jagan's government, we will get to know the results of it in the coming years.

Now the same idea is being demanded by Kannada actor turned politician, Upendra. He released a special video in this regards and said, "There has been a demand for many years that Kannadigas should be given first preference in jobs in the state. But that's not happening and this is leading to huge unemployment. I will sit on a hunger strike on August 14th and 15th at Mahatma Gandhi statue demanding jobs for the locals. I appeal to the unemployed to join me in my hunger strike."

Bengaluru is the IT capital of India, it hosts international companies across the globe and so people from all over the country, reached here for employment for over two and half decades. Now with Upendra's call, what sort of impact it will create is something to be watched out for.
