Shocking: 300 Bags with cash seized

In a shocking development, as many as 300 bags of crushed currency notes were found in a factory by the Karnataka police at the mining hub Ballary, Bangalore. The cops have discovered these noted in a plywood factory in Industria area, when they were conducting a routine check-up.

The factory owner, however, claims that he brought these goods from Indore for making plywood a few months back and had no clue about the money whatsoever. As all the notes were in a very badly damaged state, the officials were unable to estimate the actual worth of currency notes in the plastic bags.

A team of officers has already left to Indore to investigate the case. The cops were yet to file a case against the factory owner. RBI is given information about the 300 currency bags and a team of Reserve Bank officials is likely to visit Bellary soon. Police sources say, this is the first time such huge amount of currency notes were located in one place.
