Uttam pressure works out, Wife gets ticket

The Congress high command has confirmed Uttam Padmavati for the Huzurnagar by-election. Padmavati is the best half of TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy. In the last elections, Padmavati contested from Kodad constituency and lost to TRS candidate Bollam Mallaiah Yadav.

This is a setback for Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy who has proposed Shyamala Kiran Reddy's name. In fact, when TPCC chief Uttam announced Padmavati's name, Revanth bluntly opposed her name and added that Kiran Reddy is a suitable candidate to give a tough fight to the ruling TRS.

On the other hand Shyamala Kiran Reddy tried his best to get ticket. He flew to Delhi to meet Congress biggies. However, his efforts went in vain.

Also BJP has finalized their candidate and it is Srikala Reddy. She recently joined BJP from Congress.
