#RTCStrike: KCR Restricts Govt Employees

Telangana state RTC strike is turning out to be a headache for Telangana CM KCR. RTC JAC has intensified their protest and has gathered the support of all political parties. Now RTC JAC is looking at gazette and non-gazatte officers associations (TGO & TNGO) for their support.

Sensing more trouble CM KCR has asked TGO and TNGO leaders to meet him at Pragathi Bhavan. Getting a call from the CM, the leader rushed and they were informed that the state government would be increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3.5 percent but only after the Huzurnagar by-election. CM KCR also assured that all the issues pertaining to TGO and TNGO will be solved at the earliest.

Political experts believe that KCR made this strategic move in order to refrain TGO & TNGO leaders from extending their support to RTC strike. Yesterday at the all-party meeting, RTC JAC threatened the government that it would gather the support of rest of the government employee unions and go for 'Sakala Janula Samme' (Mass Protest of Employees) if their demands are not met. Accordingly RTC JAC had called TGO & TNGO to hold talks. But before that CM KCR met them and did the damage control.

A smart move by KCR indeed. But if he fails to hike the DA for government employees and other issues, KCR will face their heat too which is going to be more than the RTC strike.
