FM's husband Parakala hits out at Centre over slowdown

The BJP government in New Delhi is continuously denying that the economy is slowing down. While saying, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman is doing all that is needed to put the economy back on track.

Before Dasara festival, the government slashed the corporate tax but it was a partial measure. The stock markets are in downwards over the last few weeks on the reports of slow economy.

In a major embarrassment to the finance minister, Parakala Prabhakar, husband of Nirmala Sitharaman said that the economy is a cause of concern and it will definitely take some time to be back on track. Parakala also hailed the economic reforms of former PM Manmohan Singh and PV Narasimha Rao.

"The union government has knowledge about the economy being slow but it is denying to accept it. Whatever the measures, the centre is taking are not enough," added Parakala further. From IMF to World Bank, many financial institutions have cut down India's growth rate to 6 percent for the financial year 2019-2020.

FM Nirmala was quick to react on opposition comments and it is noted as how will she respond on comments made by her husband.
