‘My Drug Problem Was So Bad That Bodyguards Had To Check My Pulse’

Pop Singer, Justin Bieber is one of the biggest pop icons in the world with his super talented voice and power-packed stage performances. People also swoon over his incredible smile, style and mystique. However, the young star opened up about the struggles of being a pop star at a very young age and how he was addicted to taking drugs.

Bieber said that his drug usage became so intense and often that his bodyguards had to sneak into his room at night and check his pulse to make sure he was still alive. “It was like I had all this success and it was still like: I’m still sad, and I’m still in pain. And I still have these unresolved issues. And I thought all the success was going to make everything good. And so for me, the drugs were a numbing agent to just continue to get through,” he told in the latest interview.

He added that there are people in the industry who “prey” on others’ insecurities which would make him aggressive. “As a young star, I would always be angry but carry big dreams in my heart. But the world just jades you and makes you into this person that you don’t want to be” he quoted.

He also talked about how his relationships sucked and made him unhappy. “In spite of all the success in the world, I was like: Well, what is this worth if I’m still feeling empty inside?” The pop icon also opened up about his health issues as he has Lyme disease.“To be honest, I am a lot healthier, and I did have a lot of things going on. I did have mono, and Lyme disease. But I was also navigating a lot of emotional terrains, which had a lot to do with it”.

Justin Bieber married American model and media personality, Hailey Baldwin, in 2018, and he said his relationship with God and wife Hailey is helping him get on a better path.
