#MahaPolitics: All Eyes On Supreme Court Verdict

The Supreme Court of India has reserved its verdict on Maharashtra new government to tomorrow. On Monday the case came for hearing and advocates on behalf of both the side, made their strong arguments before the court.

Lawyer Kabil Sibal on behalf of Congress, NCP and Shiva Sena, questioned what is the emergency of revoking President Rule in Maharashtra at 5'o clock and calling for swearing in ceremony 8 AM. He also urged the court to order for a floor test within 24 hours with videography and single ballot.

One more advocate on behalf of the same parties Abhishek Singhvi said why is the BJP shying away from floor test and how can Governor invite Devendra Fadnavis to form government with no proper strength.

Countering these arguments, Mukul Rohatgi on behalf of Maharashtra BJP argued that the Supreme Court cannot direct Governor to order for a floor test but can just make a suggestion. Also the Governor has given 14 days time to prove the majority which is the usual procedure.

Overall, the entire episode is witnessing twists every hour and we have to see till where this will go.
