#DishaCase - Preserve the dead bodies: HC tells police

The Telangana High Court has ordered the Telangana police to not perform the last rites of the four accused who were killed in connection with Disha rape and murder.

Woman activists have approached the High Court on Friday evening and urged the court to order for an independent probe into the whole encounter episode as they have many doubts. Based on the writ petition filed by social activist Sajay, OU retired professor Padmaja Shah, Meera Sangh Mitra of National Alliance for People's Moment (NAPM) and other woman activists, the court asked the police to preserve the bodies of the dead till December 9th 10:30 AM.

Advocate general informed the High court that the post-mortem of the dead is performed at Mahbubnagar government hospital by forensic experts and the entire process was recorded in a video. Responding to this, the court asked the advocate general to produce the video in a pen drive or CD.

Also the National Human Rights Commission had summoned the Telangana police not to do the last ritual until there team scrutinises the dead bodies.

As said by CP Sajjanar, law has done its duty and is also going ahead in this sensational case.
