Punch to YSRCP: Council Speaker halts 'Three Capitals' Bill

Punch to YSRCP: Council Speaker halts 'Three Capitals' Bill

In a big setback to the YSRCP government, Council Speaker has recommended the 'Three Capitals' bill to select committee.

There was a tense atmosphere in the council since yesterday. Announcing his decision, Council speaker said he is using his extra provisions under Rule 154 to suggest the 'Three Capitals' bill to select committee. This means the 'Three Capitals' bill will not get implemented right away and it would take at least three months time.

As and when Council Speaker announced his decision, TDP MLCs tapped their desks and welcomed it while the YSRCP leaders were shell shocked.

Speaking after this, finance minister Buggana said, this is a black day and TDP is creating hurdles for development of all the regions and also the state.

Meanwhile we hear that CM Jagan is taking legal opinion on Council Speaker's decision.
