India’s World Record: 3,14,835 Covid Cases In 24 Hours

India has recorded a world record in Covid-19 cases. A whopping 3,14,835 Covid-19 positive cases have been registered in the last 24 hours which is the world’s highest single-day spike till date. This is the seventh straight day of over two lakh new cases in the country. This is the worst outbreak in the world. 

The Covid-19 related deaths recorded in the last 24 hours was 2104. With this the total death toll reached 1,84,657.  Previous day, the country reported 2,97,430 fresh cases which was close to 3 lakh. The Second wave of Covid-19 pandemic in India is sending down shivers globally.

The total Covid-19 cases in India so far is 1.56 crore which is only next to the US (3.19 Crore). Maharashtra – the most-affected state in the country – has reported 62,097 new cases on Tuesday. The total Covid-19 tally of Maharashtra rose to 39.6 lakh so far.

Meanwhile, the shortage of Oxygen supply and vaccine shortage is taking a toll on the patients and their families. The Centre has increased the oxygen supply to Delhi. It has also spoken to the Vaccine manufacturers to increase the production and supply.
