Covid-19 Effect: Curious Case Around Nani’s Films

It’s been 2 years that Nani’s film released in theatres. Nani’s Gangleader was the last one to hit the screens. His milestone 25th film ‘V’ was made available on Amazon Prime Video during the lockdown last year. A salient observation at his career now gives us a hint that things are not going well around his new releases.

Nani’s V was supposed to release in theatres on 25th March, last year, for Ugadi. But, the government declared a lockdown, resulting in the film theatres shutting down. The film unit waited a long time to bring the film to theatres but they fell for a fancy deal from Amazon Prime Video. The film, however, failed to meet the expectations of audiences. Later, the makers released V in theatres but it went unnoticed.

Nani is currently busy with Tuck Jagadish. Shiva Nirvana is the film’s director. If their plan went unchanged, the film would have been in theatres on the 23rd of this month. But, the film unit announced the film’s postponement in the wake of a hike in the Corona cases.

Surprisingly, a few days before the actual release date of Tuck Jagadish, a mini lockdown (night curfew) was announced and the theatres association decided to shut the theatres.

This time, Nani is particular about bringing Tuck Jagadish in theatres first, despite any tough situations around them.

There was a gap of only a couple of days for Nani’s film releases and the closure of film theatres. Looking at this trend, the fans are worried that a bad time is running for Nani.

Apart from Tuck Jagadish, Nani also started the shoot for Shyam Singh Roy and Ante Sundharaniki.
