Watch: How This YCP MLA Warns Govt Officials

Kovur MLA Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy's comments on government officials have kicked up a controversy. Prasanna Kumar Reddy, a senior legislator who got elected for the sixth time to Assembly, warned government officials in his constituency to toe the line. He asked government officials to 'respect' leaders of ruling party, party workers, volunteers and the people. He said he would take serious action against the officials if he get any complaints on them and their behaviour.

Prasanna Kumar Reddy even threatened the officials that they would see the other side of him. He said he should not get any complaints from people or his followers or his fellow leaders over officials keeping them 'waited'. Prasanna Kumar Reddy said they are free to leave the Mandal/Constituency if they are "not interested" in working. He made it clear that they should obey him when they work in his constituency.

A former minister and six-time legislator Prasanna Kumar Reddy has a rich experience and family legacy behind him. Prasanna Kumar Reddy had walked into the footsteps of his father Nallapareddy Srinivasulu Reddy (NSR), who served as minister in NTR's cabinet. Entered into politics after his father's death, Prasanna Kumar Reddy scored hat-trick by winning three times consecutively from Kovur. In the 2019 general election, he won with 39,981 votes majority against TDP's candidate.

With such comments coming from such a senior MLA, naturally, government officials in his constituency are worried lot. Also, several officials in AP are finding fault with YCP MLA's comments citing that this reflects the "attitude" of ruling party MLAs.
