India’s Covid Death Toll Crosses 2 Lakh: 3286 Deaths & 3,62,770 Cases In 24 Hrs

A day after slight dip in the cases yesterday – 3.23 lakh, the surge in the cases is back. India reported 3,62,770 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours which is the highest-ever single-day spike again. 3286 Covid-related deaths were reported in the past one day which was an alarming increase in the number of deaths in single day.

For the first time since the Covid outbreak (both first wave and second wave), the country witnessed more than 3000 deaths on a single day. With this, the official Covid death toll in the country has surpassed 2 lakh-figure.

Both the new cases and deaths in past 24 hours is the highest in the country so far. It is the seventh consecutive day where the country reported over 3 lakh cases and the eight day in a row when deaths exceeded 2000.

World-wide, US was the worst-hit country and saw maximum Covid deaths so far. The Covid has killed over 5.72 lakh people in the US. Brazil is the second with 3.92 lakh Covid-deaths and Mexico is the third with 2.15 lakh deaths.India stands at No.4 in the world with over 2 lakh Covid deaths so far.

Needless to say that the second wave of Covid outbreak has been creating a havoc in India with the alarming increase in cases and deaths with each passing day.
