Indian Called “Auntie”.. Gets ₹1.8L Compensation in UK
A 61-year-old Indian-origin NHS worker in the UK won a harassment case after a colleague repeatedly called her “auntie” despite objections. The tribunal ruled it created an offensive work environment linked to age and sex discrimination. West London NHS Trust was ordered to pay £1,425 (₹1.8 lakh) as compensation for emotional distress.
