This is a natural gas field based in Derweze, Turkmenistan and is also known as the Gates to Hell. This gas field collapsed in the year 1971 when the soviets were drilling for oil reserves. At the same time, the geologists set a fire to this reserve in order to prevent the spread of methane gas. For some reason, the fire didn't stop till today and it is still burning. The crater has a depth of 30 meters and diameter of 69 meters. The locals have named it as the 'Door To Hell'.
