My strength fell by 50 percent: Samantha

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was diagnosed with auto-immune disease Myositis, recalled her challenges and troubles while shooting. Sam talked about how tough it was for her during the training for the show ‘Citadel’. She mentioned that she had to eat less to help her body recover. She shared her experience while shooting for the show.   Samantha had to take a break for a year due to her health issues.

Samantha said, “I felt really weak during the training. I also had to eat less because I needed time for my body to heal. My strength decreased by half. It was a long and hard journey.”

During her podcast’s third episode, Sam talked about her difficult experiences.

“While working on the action series, Samantha faced many physical challenges. Once, she was so exhausted from the intense filming that she passed out during an action scene and hurt her head. Her friend and health coach, Alkesh Sharotri, talked about the tough times Sam had.

“There’s a lot of action, which made it really hard. They would keep calling you during filming. They’d say things like, ‘She’s getting cramps,’ or ‘She’s having muscle spasms.’ I remember one time when I had to do this action scene, and oh God, I just fainted,” Samantha shared on her podcast.
