Though moviegoers could anticipate a movie’s fate most of the time based on the trailer, the Bollywood multistarrer garnered negative talk right from the trailer release. The movie has Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles yet it failed to get enough buzz. The release also was postponed due to a lack of buzz.
Well, if the content is good, none of this really matters. But Bade Miyan Chote Miyan lived up to the poor expectations. The story is all about army folks Firoz (Akshay) and Rakesh (Tiger) accomplishing the tough missions with ease. In an unexpected development, they lose their jobs. An international terrorist Kabir (Prithviraj Sukumaran) steals a crucial weapon of the country and flees to London. Bade Miyan and Chote Miyan will be assigned the job to bring it back. They both start the mission along with Captain Misha (Manushi Chillar).
The director Ali Abbas Jaffer tests the patience with his vintage screenplay with an already decades-old story. It starts in a fun mode, but the boring action drama becomes extremely predictable and derails quickly.
The fights and chases are shot with a big budget, but the lack of emotion and connection makes them useless and flat. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan becomes a tiresome watch s the story progresses.
