Star Director Disappoints Superstar Fans

Recently, Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay announced his entry into politics by starting his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. However, Vijay said he will stay away from the 2024 General Elections and will be contesting in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly polls. It was also stated that Vijay would quit films after entering active politics.

As of now, Vijay is working on GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu. He will do another film after that, tentatively called Thalapathy 69. A few weeks ago, it was widely reported that Vijay’s last film would be produced by DVV Entertainment and directed by Vetrimaaran.

Fans were highly excited because Vetrimaaran is one of the finest directors of Indian cinema who seamlessly blends social issues in a commercial format. Everyone thought that this combination would be a banger. However, Vetrimaaran confirmed that his film with Vijay will not happen.

In a recent awards event, Vetrimaaran was asked when his project with Vijay will start. Responding to the same, he said that the question should be asked to the people who created the rumours. “I have a script for him but I don’t think I will happen as of now,” he stated. This statement turned out to be a disappointment for all Thalapathy fans.
