After permitting Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi to have special late night shows from 1 AM to 10 AM from Jan 10th to Jan 17th, Andhra Pradesh state government has announced similar benefit to Balakrishna-starrer Jai Simha which is all set to hit the screens on Jan 12.
In a statement, AP government said, "From Tomorrow (Jan 12, 2018), Jai Simha movie is permitted to screen 24X7 i.e to have special shows from 1 AM to 10 AM. This is applicable till Jan 16, 2018."
The state government has reasoned that the move is to curb the 'crowds' at theatres and to avoid the sale of 'black tickets'.
AP state government's decision is expected to help the distributors, buyers of Jai Simha in a big way and this is indeed a feast for Balayya's die-hard fans. The theatrical rights of the film featuring Nayantara, Hari Priya and Natasha Doshi has been sold at 27 Crore.
Needless to say that this is indeed a Sankranthi gift to Balayya from Chandrababu Naidu.
