Another TDP MLA will face disqualification from the assembly membership as the opposition party on Tuesday lodged complaint against G Kalamalara Rao, who switched loyalty to TRS, to Speaker N Manohar seeking action against the legislature.

TDP whip D Narendra formally submitted a petition against Rao to Speaker saying the latter defied the party by joining the TRS. Based on the complaint,  Manohar issued notices to the MLA and asked him to reply in a week.

The TDP had already filed disqualification petitions against K Hareeshwar Reddy, S Venugopala Chary, Kodali Nani, Chinnam Ramakotaiah, T Vanitha, Amarnath Reddy and Praveen Kumar Reddy for defying the whip and voted in support of no- confidence motion against the government moved by YSR Congress in March this year. The hearing on disqualification petitions is posted on June 10, when the assembly session starts.
