To Fight YSRCP, I’m Supporting BJP: Pawan Kalyan

It is all official. Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party has backed off from contesting the Tirupati Lok Sabha by-election and it has lent its support to the BJP. In a statement, Pawan said that the decision is to facilitate the progress and development of the state by supporting a party that is ruling at the Centre.

Pawan said the decision was taken after due consultation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and BJP national secretary BL Santosh. He also said that the Janasena has considered the fact that BJP had won Tirupati Lok Sabha seat in 1999. He said the Temple Town needs more development and it would be possible with the Centre’s aid.

Interestingly, Pawan evoked the religious sentiment and raised the attacks on Hindu Temples in recent times in AP. He said BJP would protect the Temples in the state.

Pawan asked the party leaders, party activists and followers to understand that the decision of the party is in lieu of the party’s growth in the long term. He said that Janasena has struck an alliance with the BJP to fight against the “YSRCP anarchy” that was “witnessed in recent Panchayat and Municipal elections” in the state. He gave a call to Janasainiks to work towards BJP’s victory in Tirupati.
