Chandrababu – The Comeback Man Of India

As Andhra Pradesh heads for polls in two weeks, the leading outfits, YSR Congress and TDP+ alliance have worked on their last-minute strategies. In one such last-gasp media campaign, Chandrababu Naidu sat down for a Live interview with renowned national media journalist, Arnab Goswami.

Goswami, who is usually very critical of his political interviewees was uncharacteristically appreciative of Chandrababu Naidu. He even gave a big tag to Naidu as he termed the TDP president the “Comeback man of India”.

‘Chandrababu is constantly written off by his opponents. But he rises like a phoenix every time he gets undermined. He is the comeback man of India’ Goswami said. The media individual likened Chandrababu’s political journey to cricketer Sourav Ganguly, who is known for making scorching comebacks with his batting prowess every time he is written off.

About Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrababu said in his 40 years political career, not once has he seen a CM as vindictive as the YSR Congress chief. ‘Jagan is a psychotic man who wants to hurt and abuse each and every one of his opponents. A man sitting on the CM chair can’t be thinking like this. I didn’t have a single corruption remark on me in my career till now but Jagan intentionally threw mud at me with fabricated cases.’

About the polling trends in AP, Chandrababu said “We are 100 percent confident of winning both the polls. People are frustrated with the current govt, everyone is a victim of the governance. Our 160+ MLAs and 24+ MPs will secure victory”.

Naidu rolled back to the good old days of his rapport with YS Rajasekhar Reddy. “Jagan Mohan Reddy’s father YSR and I were friends during the 80s. I have always been clean, and honest and at the same time gave good governance to people. In 2019, Jagan Mohan Reddy became the CM and destroyed the ecosystem. There is no democracy in Andhra Pradesh now.’

Goswami was very appreciative of Chandrababu as he called him the pioneer of e-governance not just in Telugu state but all of India. This interview meticulously reignited the positive branding of Chandrababu at the right time before the election.
