Goutham Reddy to be cremated After His Son Arrives From USA

AP IT minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy breathed his last on Monday morning following a massive heart attack. In a statement, the hospital said, Goutham Reddy collapsed at home and around 7:45 AM, he was brought to the hospital and CPR was done for more than 90 minutes. But the doctors efforts went in vain.

At 9:16 AM, the doctors declared Goutham Reddy as dead and subsequently informed his family members. His corpse is being shifted to his residence in Hyderabad and will be placed for homage. AP CM Jagan flew to Hyderabad in a special flight to offer condolences and he would directly reach Goutham Reddy’s residence.

Coming to the funerals, Goutham Reddy’s corpse will be shifted to Brahmanpalli, his birth place in Nellore district on Monday night and the last rites will be held on Wednesday. Goutham Reddy’s son is currently pursuing studies in the USA and on his arrival, the rituals will commence, said a source of the family.

Meanwhile the AP government has announced two days of mourning.
