Adivi Sesh’s ‘Major’ which received critical acclaim, had a fantastic first weekend. The film collected Rs 35.6 crore in the first three days and according to buzz analysts, the film breached into the breakeven mark and emerged as the sixth clean hit of Tollywood this year.
Sesh is on cloud nine with the box office numbers but he is doing something unusual on social media. Generally Sesh doesn’t share the collections of his movies and this time he is doing so and he clarifies why.
“People ask why I’m posting about #Major‘s amazing Collections. That #Major is not a regular film. TWO MILLION people watched and loved the story of #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan. THAT is why I spoke about it. For you to know how many hearts he has touched. #IndiaLovesMajor,” explained Sesh.
The response from the overseas audiences is something that is worth it and in the USA, ‘Major’ has entered the profit zone. All the parties involved with the film distribution are really happy and until the next big release, they have to make decent revenue.
