50,000 Vacancies In Telangana To Be Filled!

With the Centre approving Telangana government’s new zonal system for recruitment into state services, notifications to fill nearly 50,000 vacancies in various departments, except the police, are likely to be issued soon.

The new zonal system will favour locals to get 95% of job opportunities in the state. The local status of the job aspirant would be decided basing on the school where he/she pursued her academics from Class I to VII. If a candidate studies in a particular school for 4 consecutive years, then the individual is considered a local of that district.

The Union ministry of home affairs issued a gazette notification approving two new districts, Mulugu and Narayanpet, and also other amendments made to other zones by the state.

On December 13, 2020, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced that the state government would fill 50,000 posts within 3 months but the delay in the Centre approving the zonal system delayed the process.

All the job notifications to be issued henceforth would be in conformation with the new zonal system, which would facilitate transfers apart from recruitment.

KCR increased the initial 10 districts to 31 in 2016 and the addition of two more would now take the number to 33. The CM also increased the two zones to seven zones. In 2017, he created two multi-zones including all the seven zones which would be applicable for all the departments except the police wing. The Centre approved all these decisions.

The seven zones are Kaleshwaram (zone 1),  Basara (zone 2), Rajanna (zone 3), Bhadradri (zone 4), Yadadri  (zone 5), Charminar (zone 6) and Jogulamba (zone 7). The zones 1-4 have been included in first multi-zone and the remaining in the second.

During the Telangana agitation, KCR promised to give reservation to locals in recruitments for state services in the separate state.
