Indian Origin Pilot Killed in US Crash Hours After Wedding

Devastating accidents involving the Indian diaspora have once again come into focus after a shocking helicopter crash in the United States claimed the life of an Indian origin pilot just hours after his wedding. The incident has left families and friends in deep shock.

Dave Fiji and his wife Jesni were newly married and celebrating what was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives. But just hours after the wedding ceremony, tragedy struck in Georgia when a helicopter they were travelling in crashed, killing Dave and the pilot. Jesni survived the crash with injuries and is now under treatment.

Reports say the couple had just finished a grand wedding ceremony attended by hundreds of guests. After the celebrations, they boarded a Robinson R66 helicopter for a short flight towards Atlanta. The helicopter reportedly went down in a wooded area not far from the wedding venue.

Emergency teams rushed to the crash site after the aircraft disappeared from radar. Rescue operations took hours due to difficult terrain. By the time responders reached the wreckage, Dave and the pilot had already died.

Jesni, who was trapped in the debris for several hours, was rescued alive. Family members said she sustained cuts and bruises but no major fractures. Her condition is said to be stable, though emotionally shattered after the sudden loss.

Dave, who was working as a pilot with a major airline, had always dreamed of flying since childhood. His family described him as a joyful person who was excited about starting a new life with his bride just moments before the tragedy.

Authorities in the United States have launched an investigation into the crash. Officials are yet to confirm the exact cause, though early reports suggest weather conditions and visibility issues may have played a role in the accident.
