Happy Time, Theaters Get Relief After A Long Time!

Telugu Film Industry and its Theatres ecosystem is breathing easy at least for a bit in the last one month or so. After the Sankranthi, there is a dry spell at the box office with almost all the films falling like dried leaves.

There is barely any film working at the box office and theaters were struggling even to meet the expenses. We have seen the Exhibitors coming forward and demand for Percentage System to be implemented.

But then, things eased a bit.

Ram Charan’s Peddi released and gave more than three weeks feeding for the theaters.

Blast emerged as a Surprise in some pockets.

Singeetham and Deewana put up a good show in a few pockets even though they did not do big overall.

Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaram is also poised to have three weeks run and made everyone happy in the trade. It is the biggest hit this year in terms of return on investment.

Nagabandham, despite bad talk and reviews, had a decent first weekend. Even though, the costs are much higher, the movie still brought footfalls.

Rao Bahadur is doing well in Hyderabad and particularly the Multiplexes.

Obsession also brought good footfalls to the Multiplexes in Hyderabad.

Irrespective of the results, its a good sign the theaters are getting feed some way or the other.

If Lenin does well next week, the happiness will last some more time.
