Monday Stories: Nagabandham & Rao Bahadur’s 1st Week Run!

In this edition of Monday Stories, we see the box office performance of Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaram, Nagabandham, and Rao Bahadur.

Maa Inti Bangaram has collected around 68 Crore Gross in India and 23.5 Crore Gross at the Overseas Box Office. That takes the total to 91.5 Crore. It will be touch and go from here to see if the movie will enter the 100 Crore Gross Club.

Nagabandham has claimed Business of 9 Crore in Nizam, 17 Crore in Andhra, and 3 Crore in Ceeded before the release. We do not know how much the buyers paid by the time of release.

The movie has collected around 12 Crore Gross in India and 2.2 Crore Gross in Overseas. The 14.2 Crore Gross looks decent but nowhere near enough for the costs involved.

Rao Bahadur makers released a major chunk of their investment through non-theatricals sale. They have to just collect about 3 Crore Share from theaters and so, they released the movie without taking any advance from the distributors.

The movie has collected 4.5 Crore Gross from India and 3.1 Crore Gross from Overseas. They will recover their investment but then, given the effort, they would not be happy with just the breakeven.
