Telugu film industry has a tradition of creating a release rush at the box office. Either there will be no releases, or there will be packed releases. Now, Tollywood is all set to witness yet another similar kind of packed release rush at the ticket windows. In September, within the first two days of the week, there are multiple films slated for release.
Nikhil’s Swayambhu, which is in production for quite some time, is reportedly coming in the first week of September. Billed as a period drama, the film has got a lot of interesting elements. Nikhil pins high hopes on it, especially given it’s a pan-India release.
Sumanth Prabhas’ next film, Romanchakam, produced by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is also aimed at around the same time. Interestingly, the film’s recent teaser garnered a unique reception, hinting at a positive embrace from the audience. Since it is a love story, the youth will be drawn to it.
Allari Naresh will arrive with Rambha, Urvashi, and Menaka. After a long time, Naresh is taking up a project in the comedy genre that could easily attract family audiences.
Mouli, who shot to fame with Little Hearts, comes with his second film, Donga Na Koduka. The youth will have this film on their watch list too. Families who liked Little Hearts might also be interested in it.
ETV Win is also coming up with another film titled Inka Em Anukoledu, which is yet again a drama that has the heart in the right place. The team is confident about the film’s result and is geared up for a release in September.
Despite each and every single film carrying a buzz and expectations, the problem is the allocation and availability of theatres. At the same time, if more than one film is good, there is a chance for other decent or average films ending up with less visibility which has happened several times in the past.
We have to see if the producers realize this and make some reshuffling to get all the films the right release. All of these films will head for a release on 3rd and 4th of September.
