Monday Stories: Superb First Weekend For Lenin!

In today’s edition of Monday Stories, we look at the Performance of Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin.

The movie has collected around 30 Crore Gross in India and 5.79 Crore Gross in Overseas taking the total Worldwide Gross to 35.79 Crore.

The movie was done for modest business – 8 Crore Ratio in Andhra, 2.5 Crore in Ceeded, and 6 Crore in Nizam (Valued). So, the targets are very reasonable and the breakeven of all areas will be achieved in the first week itself.

This is a huge relief for Akhil, Akkineni family, and the fans.

Samantha’s Ma Inti Bangaram has collected 72 Crore Gross in India and 24.03 Crore in the Overseas taking the total Worldwide Gross to 96 Crore.

Nagabandham has collected 24.6 Crore Gross Worldwide (22.8 Crore in India, 1.38 Crore in North America, and 42 Lakhs in ROW) and is heading towards flop due to massive costs involved.

Rao Bahadur, on the other side, collected 11.83 Crore Gross Worldwide (India Gross: 7.5 Crore, NA: 3.85 Crore, ROW: 0.48 Crore).

The makers did not sell the movie or take advance in any area in India. They recovered most of the budget from non-theatrical sale and had to cover just 3 Crore from the theaters which they comfortably did.

But then, given the critical appreciation and the effort that went in, they would not be happy with the theatrical performance.
