Telugu Cinema Shines At 72 National Film Awards

The 72nd National Film Awards for the year 2024 were announced today, and it turned out to be a memorable occasion for Telugu Cinema. Several Telugu films and artists bagged prestigious honors, once again proving the diversity in Tollywood.

First in line is Committee Kurrollu, which won two awards. It emerged as the best Telugu film. Then, V Ravi Kumar won the best make-up artist award for the film produced by Niharika Konidela.

Another Telugu film, 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu, was awarded the best children’s film, while young actor Arundev Pothula won the best child artist award.

Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD won two awards as it secured the best feature film providing wholesome entertainment award. The film also won recognition for its outstanding production design as Nihin Chaudhary bagged the honor.

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule added more glory to Telugu cinema. Director Sukumar won the best screenplay award, while the film also received the best costume design award for Deepali Noor and Sheetal Sharma.

The super hit Dulquer Salmaan film, Lucky Baskhar, also made its mark, with director Venky Atluri winning the best dialogue writer award.

Overall, the awards turned out to be a proud moment for Telugu cinema, and we wish all the winners hearty congratulations.
