Naga Vamsi Bags Telugu States Rights of Jailer 2 for ₹45 cr

Superstar Rajinikanth has unmatched craze in Telugu states. Proving this once again, Jailer 2 theatrical business is shaking the trade. Producer Naga Vamsi has reportedly bagged the Telugu States theatrical rights of Jailer 2 for a staggering value of ₹45 crore.

Well known overseas distributor Shloka Entertainments has acquired the overseas rights covering North America, the UK, Europe, Africa, Sri Lanka and Nepal are valued at approximately ₹47.5 crore, taking the combined value of the Telugu States and overseas rights to more than ₹90 crore.

The North America rights alone are estimated at ₹28 crore, with the territory carrying a break-even target of approximately whopping $7 million.

With such high valuations and ambitious recovery targets, the stakes surrounding Jailer 2 are exceptionally high. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 15 and is expected to be one of the major releases of the festive season.

Interestingly, Jailer 2 will face competition in Telugu states from Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali, which is scheduled to release on October 16, just a day after Jailer 2. Ranabaali is bankrolled by prominent production house Mythri Movie Makers which makes the clash interesting as they recently bagged huge blockbuster with Ravi Teja’s Irumudi.

With two major films arriving back-to-back, the October release window is set for an intense box-office clash, particularly in the Telugu States and overseas markets. On the other hand, Venkatesh, Trivikram’s Adarsha Kutumbam AK47, backed by Sithara’s Parent company Haarika & Hassine Creations, is releasing on October 9. Overall, October 2026 is an eventful month for Tollywood and trade is betting big on these big-budget movies.
