Dasara is usually one of the most exciting festive seasons for Telugu cinema fans, with filmmakers choosing the occasion to share special posters, first looks, and major announcements. However, 2026 has been disappointing for fans who were eagerly waiting for updates from some of Tollywood’s biggest upcoming projects.

Several highly anticipated films were expected to make headlines during the festive period, but the silence from their teams has left fans waiting for something special.

First in line is Prabhas’ Fauzi. Fans were expecting an announcement ahead of Prabhas’ birthday on October 23; however, there has been no update so far, leaving fans wondering when the makers will break their silence.

Next is Jr NTR’s Dragon: A special poster was expected from the team, but there has been no announcement or promotional material to excite fans this festive season.

This brings us to Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi. Given the film’s connection with the Ramayana and its association with director Rajamouli, many expected a special update during Dasara. However, the team has remained silent, as always, and disappointed many.

As so much was being said about Allu Arjun’s Raaka. fans were expecting something from Atlee’s much-awaited film. But fans will have to continue to wait for some more time.

The most-awaited update was from Ram Charan and Sukumar’s film, as it was expected to have its pooja ceremony today. However, no official update has emerged so far.

Dasara provides a valuable opportunity for filmmakers to maintain excitement around their projects and connect with fans. While promotional plans may change for various reasons, the lack of updates from these major films has certainly disappointed fans this time.
