Chiranjeevi’s One Man Show!

It is going to be Chiranjeevi’s one man show in the forthcoming Lucifer Telugu remake. Inside buzz is that director Mohan Raja, who is helming the remake, has made some significant changes and edited out Prithviraj’s role in the original. With this, the remake will be a one-man show of Chiru.

The political drama is the highest grossing Malayalam film till date as it grossed over Rs 150 Crore including its dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu. Chiru wants to make the Telugu remake bigger and hoping to gross even bigger. He chose director Mohan Raja who is known as “remake specialist”.

Mohan Raja made his directorial debut in Telugu with Hanuman Junction which was the remake of Malayalam film (Thenkasipattanam). He next made his debut in Tamil with the remake of Teja and Nithiin’s Jayam.

Mohan Raja went on to remake Telugu hits Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Bommarillu, Kick in Tamil. He had worked for remakes of Malayalam and Telugu films.

However, Mohan Raja’s first original script was Thani Oruvan (remade as Dhruva in Telugu). The Telugu remake had Ram Charan and Arvind Swamy. That’s how Raja grabbed the attention of Chiru.

Chiru, who is currently busy with Acharya, will work on a crucial schedule with Ram Charan. After this, Chiru will take a break and join the shoot of the Lucifer remake. Later, Chiru will move onto Vedalam remake which will be directed by Meher Ramesh.
