Actor Farhan Akhtar drops his metamorphosis pictures to give us a glimpse of his tremendous body transformation for his latest movie, Toofaan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Farhan plays a street thug who wishes to be a professional boxer.
Farhan, with his before and after pictures, shows how the actor’s job takes incredible amounts of skill and dedication. He went on a role-proper weight loss and an excruciating muscle gain regime, in order to portray his role in Toofan as most accurately as possible. The actor went from 69kgs to 85kgs to back to 77kgs.
We can see six-packs as well as a huge belly and when we compare them, it looks magical but it is indeed a dramatic transformation. Sharing the photos, Farhan wrote, “The many shapes and sizes of Ajju aka Aziz aka Toofaan. What a ride. 18 months of relentless work but worth every drop of sweat, every sore muscle and every pound gained and lost. The stars behind the scenes – @samir_jaura @drewnealpt @anand.physio”.
Fans were quick to recognize his laudable efforts. “You were amazing simply loved it national award film for sure,” wrote one. “Outstanding,” wrote another. A fan commented, “You’re the perfect example of Hard Work pays off loved Toofan.” For the transformation picture, Hrithik Roshan commented “Man! From 69 to 85? That’s insane”.
Farhan Akhtar plays Ajju Bhai (Aziz Ali), a boxer in his second collaboration with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Actors like SRK, Katrina Kaif, Vidyut Jammwal, Vaani Kapoor, and Karan Johar praised the film on Twitter. The film received mixed responses from the audience, who believe it may not be a masterpiece but has its own thundering moments in the sports genre.
