Some combinations always draw special attention in the film industry. One such combination is Silambarasan aka Simbu with Gautham Vasudev Menon. The duo earlier worked for two films and a short film. They are now back with an interesting project.
Simbu and Gautham Menon did ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’ (2010), ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’ (2016), and the short film ‘Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn’ (2020). Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya and Accham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada were remade into Telugu as Ye Maya Chesave and Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo with Naga Chaitanya in the lead.
The latest film in Simbu and Gautham Menon combination is titled Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu which was earlier titled ‘Nadhigalilae Neeradum Suriyan’. The film unit released the first look of the film which reveals the actor’s look from the movie. in the shocking new look, Simbhu transformed into a lean look hinting a rural backdrop as he holds a sickle stick with burning forest in the background.This is the 47th film in Simbu’s career.
AR Rahman will score the music for the movie. Thamarai is the lyrics. The film will be produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International.
